ARC Hub PVRS welcomed members of the House Standing Committee on Climate Change, Energy, Environment and Water to UNSW Sydney today as part of the Committee’s Inquiry into solar panel reuse and recycling in Australia.

The visiting delegation included Committee Chair Anne Urquhart MP, Deputy Chair Zali Steggall MP, and Emma Comer MP, together with Committee staff. The visit formed part of the Committee’s Sydney site inspections ahead of a public hearing into solar panel reuse and recycling in Australia.

During the visit, Dr Yuting Zhuo introduced the work of ARC Hub PVRS and its research into photovoltaic recycling and sustainability. The discussion provided an opportunity to share perspectives on how research, industry partnerships and policy can support a more circular and sustainable solar industry in Australia.

The Committee also visited research and innovation activities across UNSW, including the School of Photovoltaic & Renewable Energy Engineering, Australian Centre for Advanced Photovoltaics, Hello Again Solar Pty Ltd, SMaRT Centre, and Student Energy UNSW.
