Dr Xinyu Zhang, who holds a PhD from the Australian National University, has been engaged in the development of photovoltaic solar technology for over 10 years. He has undertaken more than 100 scientific research projects at national, provincial, and municipal levels, including leading two projects for the Ministry of Science and Technology's National Key R&D Program and one for the National Development and Reform Commission's Energy Innovation Program.

His work has earned him 7 provincial/ministerial-level science and technology awards and 5 national-level association awards. Notably, the TOPCon photovoltaic module he spearheaded in 2022 was recognized as Zhejiang Province's sole "International First-of-its-Kind Equipment" for that year. Leading his team, Dr. Zhang has secured over 100 granted invention patents in China and abroad, broken the world record for cell efficiency 28 times, and currently holds the highest world efficiency record for N-type TOPCon perovskite tandem solar cells (34.22%).

He serves as a member of the International Electrotechnical Commission's Technical Committee 82 (IEC-TC82), where he led the completion of one IEC international standard as the primary author. He has also authored or co-authored 7 other standards at the international, national, and industry levels, and has published or co-published 34 SCI-indexed papers. Dr. Zhang holds numerous personal honors, including "Leading Talent in Technological Innovation" (Zhejiang Province 'Ten Thousand Talents Program'), "Qianjiang Talent" (Zhejiang Province), "Innovative Talent" (Jiaxing City), and "Top Ten Scientific and Technological Innovators" (Jiaxing City).
