Xiuli Xu is a Professor-level Engineer and the Director of the Coal Resources Business Unit at Sinosteel Anshan Thermal Energy Research Institute Co., Ltd. She also serves as Chairwoman of the Coke and Coal Resources Professional Committee for the China Coking Industry Association, Vice President of the Semi-coke (Lantan) Branch for the China Coal Processing and Utilization Association, and an expert for all three organizations as well as Sinosteel Corporation. Her work primarily focuses on scientific research and technical services related to the optimized utilization of coking coal, optimized coal blending, and cost reduction in ironmaking. She has led or participated in over sixty research projects, including more than ten at the national or provincial level. A developer of multiple patented technologies, she has also drafted and revised 8 national or industry standards, published numerous papers, and received four Science and Technology Progress awards at the provincial/ministerial level, including one First Prize.
